Artist: Julia Silova

Julia Silova’s Art Central 2026 presentation focuses on artistic process as a psychological and conceptual space rather than a fixed outcome. The featured series Semantic Satiation explores repetition as an obsessive, meditative strategy through which meaning is gradually destabilized. By repeatedly painting fragments of realistically rendered female bodies, Silova creates a state of “semantic saturation” where images dissolve into visual white noise and original associations lose clarity.
Rather than signalling erasure, this breakdown becomes a form of liberation. The exhibition rejects linear storytelling, fixed identity, and the demand for originality, proposing instead a visual language built on rhythm, fragmentation, and uncertainty. The body appears not as a stable form but as something fluid, continuously shifting, and ultimately unattainable. In this context, painting is not treated as the production of objects, but as a process without a final point an ongoing state of becoming that mirrors both mental endurance and freedom
